On the first night of the tour that started in Barcelona, the “foot on the rail” adventurer is searched by the police on the night train that crosses the south of France. New surprises await him as he jumps into Munich, where he's partying at Oktoberfest and encountering strange characters, and Berlin, where he's hounded by skinheads. The next stop is Prague. On the upswing, he writes a sci-fi script about alien visitors in Chapada Diamantina. And he realizes that for days he has been circulating between dining cars, armchairs and bathrooms, in a train shuttle. Drop off again in Berlin, walk through reconstructed streets and monuments and see apparitions of Teutonic culture. Reminiscences of the tropics accompany it, along with the suitcase and backpack. As on the previous occasion, he cannot find a place in a hotel. He then decides to face the tracks again, this time towards Amsterdam, where he settles in a basement room on Danrak Street. The journey changes direction: from physical movement on trains, stations and public spaces, our adventurer overflows into mental madness and evokes love, beaches and rocking in counterculture strongholds, including the village of Arembepe. He walks around the city, philosophizes with a prostitute in the Luz Vermelha district, tries to sew together traumatic scraps from his childhood. The return date approaches and the delusions deepen, until the enigmatic outcome in the final chapter.
