A nomadic tribe begins a journey to reach the caves that will be their refuge during the winter. Along the way, we see how the younger woman is attentive to changes in nature, to the events that are evident around her. Upon arriving at the refuge, this young woman sees, on the surface of the rocks, the possibility – and the need – of expressing what she experienced during the trip. This is how, one day, in the beginnings of human existence, narration was born, the stories that will accompany humanity from then until today were born.

Rafael Yockteng

Author-illustrator of children's literature. His professional work began at the IBBY 2000 congress in Cartagena de Indias, where he was awarded the Utopia competition. He developed his career and work mainly in Colombia. His ability to narrate with images led him to work with several writers and in different publishers in Latin America, winning important awards. He also worked on educational projects with communities throughout Colombia. Born in Lima and lives in Bogotá.

Jairo Buitrago

Writer of children's books, illustrator and researcher in children's literature and film history. Dedicated to creating illustrated books in partnership with illustrators from different countries. His books have been translated into English, Portuguese, Catalan, Chinese, Turkish, Japanese, Korean and Swedish.
