Collection: Ney Cayres

Born in Tanhaçu, Bahia, he is a dentist with a postgraduate degree in Orthodontics from New York University. A long-time marathoner, he ran his first race at a very young age, during his college days in Rio de Janeiro, the Boavista/Jornal do Brasil Atlantic Marathon in 1980. In the last thirty years, he has run on five continents, collecting more than eighty marathons. He also participated in several half marathons, country races and ultramarathons. “Maratonas: a cultural look at cities”, his first book, was published by Solisluna Editora in 2014.
