Born on March 18, 1947 in Buenos Aires. He graduated in Literature in 1971, from the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Buenos Aires. She received the Lazarillo Prize in 1980 and was named Argentina's candidate for the Hans Christian Andersen International Prize in 1996, 1998 and 2000. In 1999, she won the Pregonero de Honor Prize, and in 2004 she obtained a diploma from the Konex Foundation in the “Children's Literature” category. . In 2018, he received the XIV SM Ibero-American Prize for Children's and Young Adult Literature.
